On the 19th February the catching sector's Bass Action Committee is to meet with Ben Bradshaw, the UK Fisheries Minister, to discuss the implementation of the new 40cm mls for bass, due to come in force on the 6th April 2007.

The NFFO's Barrie Deas is quoted as saying "We have an absolutely solid case to put to the Minister on why he should reverse this increase, based on the science, conservation and the economic input"
