At a meeting of the Kent & Essex Sea Fisheries Committee on the 20th November, the committee agreed to respond to the DEFRA proposals to protect tope by saying that there should be no change.

The committee had previously taken the same line when a proposal was raised last year protect tope in the Kent and Essex district.
