- Never be afraid to think about how much money you spend on angling. I think about it everyday but am greatful that I stopped spending it on drink, cigarettes and all the other things that were impacting negatively on my life many years ago. There are far worse things in life to spend your cash on than angling - that's what I tell my wife when she moans about the price of my latest 525 mag.
As for angling being big business - Coming from Whitby one of the countries top angling venues I can say it always has been - its part of our life/culture. Whether it should become part of a political game is debatable.
