"IT IS common knowledge that catches of bass by commercial fishermen have rocketed recently while the fish congregate in such a large number on our west coast to begin their spawning cycle.
Several large hauls have been taken including a single haul in one net in excess of 28 tonnes being brought aboard with many more fish (approx five to 10 tonnes) of the catch being lost overboard as the haul was simply too big to handle ................... "
